SD-WAN helps raise funds for charity

Southfield, MI, Dec. 19, 2017 – Michigan-based BullsEye Telecom, the leading national multi-location telecommunications solutions provider, supported the 2017 Mitch Albom’s S.A.Y. Detroit Radiothon by establishing a temporary cloud-based, VoIP contact center – The BullsEye Contact Center – on-site at The Somerset Collection. This year, BullsEye helped the organization collect more than $1.25 million for the neediest citizens of Detroit.

A team of BullsEye engineers installed the BullsEye Telecom Contact Center from scratch in 24 hours at the satellite location. The BullsEye Contact Center set up included:

  • Cloud-based IP-PBX telephony
  • SD-WAN technology that monitors and manages data traffic as well as provides real time Quality of Service (QoS) for voice services while leveraging multiple circuits and backup methods
  • Best-in-class hardware running behind-the-scenes
  • Polycom VVX 310 phones with HD voice capabilities
  • Call queuing allowing simultaneous calls to be received, queued and managed
  • Real-time contact center monitoring and reporting
  • BullsEye UC (unified communications and mobility) app installed on a smartphone allowing outbound calls to be made from the radiothon phone number
  • Engineering support before, during and after the radiothon

The advanced cloud-based technology enabled S.A.Y Detroit to improve answer rates and call handling while reducing missed or dropped calls.

“Our team at BullsEye is passionate about being a part of this extremely impactful event that helps support those in our communities that need our help the most. This is our fourth year, and we’re proud to say we have helped S.A.Y. Detroit raise more than $3.6 million in total,” said Brian Babich, vice president, sales and marketing for BullsEye Telecom. “A big hat’s off to our technical team at BullsEye who stages and deploys the contact center inside a mall in less than 24 hours. The phones were up 100 percent making it possible to exceed this year’s goal.
