Self Install Guide

 

Getting Started

 

What's included:

  • VoIP Anywhere Telephone Adapter
  • Ethernet Cable
  • AC Power Adapter

Equipment you will need:

  • Broadband Connection: DSL, cable modem, or other high-speed Internet connection
  • Router: To share your broadband connection with more than one device
    (If you don't already have a router, they are available at most computer and office supply retailers for around $40)
  • Traditional Analog Telephone

To use enhanced features, you will need:

  • Computer 
  •  Web Browser: MS Internet Explorer (version 4.x or higher) or Netscape Navigator (version 4.x or higher)

Installing VoIP Anywhere

Telephone Adapter:

  1. Remove the VoIP Anywhere equipment from the shipping container.
  2. Insert the Ethernet cable provided into the LAN port.
  3. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable into an open port on your router.

  4. Insert the telephone cable into the Phone port of the VoIP Anywhere Telephone Adapter.
  5. Connect the other end of the telephone cable to a traditional analog telephone.
  6. Insert the appropriate end of the power cord into the VoIP Anywhere Telephone Adapter. Plug the other end into a power outlet or surge protector.
  7. The green STATUS Light will blink for up to 1 minute. Once the light stops blinking, you are ready to start making calls.

No dial tone

 

Check all connections to the VoIP  Phone Adapter.  Reboot your equipment.

 

Phone does not ring

 

 

Check all connections to the VoIP Phone Adapter. Make sure the ring volume on the phone is properly adjusted. Reboot your equipment.

 

 

Fast busy signal

 

 

Reboot your equipment.
